The dash is...the front shocks are in...and subfloors going in again
When I got to dad's on Sunday he'd already got the dash in...love it!
Gonna take some work to get it all smoothed out though
Today he started getting the floors in again
Got the calipers off the rear end
New water pump
He used the f-100 shock mounts but instead of putting them on the frame corners we bolted them to the suicide perch after heating them and bending them outboard. Different!
Going to have to move things around a bit to get our fan in there

57 Olsdmobile Dash Progress
I stopped by dads over lunch today to see how things were going. He'd got the olds dash completely blown apart, media blasted and cut down to fit in the coupe. It's gonna be kool!

A Little More Frame Work
Spent a few hours at Dad's this weekend end. He finished welding the rear Z's and I spent some time with the 4" grinder. Took a lot of pix so here you go.
I also took a bunch of pix of the body as it is right now. You can see I've done some patching here and there on the cowl and got most of the top welded up. I did most of this work last winter and sprayed it all down with Gibbs to keep the rust from coming back. Haven't done much of anything behind the doors yet. The driver's side door is still off the car and needs to have the lower 4" section patched but otherwise in pretty decent shape.
FIRE GOOD!
This shows the pinch on the front frame horn tacked
unboxed rear kick up of 8"
front kick up of 4"
union negotiated break?
Security patrol
cardboard template for rear kickup boxing
rear kick-up's all nice and boxed
